Hunter, 2009
from the series Minor Occurrences

Hunter is an imagined character with a nosy disposition. He sits by his window all day and looks out at the world, observing as only he could. What he sees out the window and what he hears on that telephone is up to you. The setup was created with a painted Barbie doll couch, a miniaturized Japanese collectible telephone that I bought on the internet, and playscale modeling military accessories. This image is inspired, in part, by Jimmy Stewarts' character from Alfred Hitchcock’s film Rear Window, a photographer who had a broken leg, and whose voyeurism ultimately leads to his situational entanglement.
