PJ Leroux is a photo-based artist from the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation/Golden Lake, Ontario. Leroux primarily photographs outdoors, and often in the dark. He employs the use of extended exposure, astrophotography, painting with lights, wide lenses at strange angles, and unconventional camera tricks to achieve his artistic vision. The support he has received living in Pikwakanagan encouraged him to use his skills and voice to show support on issues concerning the First Peoples of Turtle Island.
Each artwork is custom framed in a wood frame with D-rings for installation. Framing is completed in Toronto, Canada.
