Dhara Mei is a budding Vancouver-based artist and creative entrepreneur. Raised in Southeast Asia as a ‘Third Culture Kid’ with a diverse family background, Dhara aims to brings her unique worldview into her work. Self-taught as a graphic designer, illustrator, and portrait photographer, Dhara’s style and expression across each medium is exploratory and ever-changing; ranging from dark and nostalgic to colourful and child-like. The latter expression being a major focal point in her current series of collections – created in late 2020/early 2021 with the desire of bringing levity to hard times through the use of playful colourways, easy flowing lines, and simplicity in design.
