How long will it take to receive my artwork?

Lead time for unframed prints is approximately 2-3 weeks. Lead time for framed prints 3-4 weeks. Please note that all prints are made-to-order and we do not stock inventory. Once your print is made by our printer, it must be allowed to dry for 24 hours before being shipped. Delivery of paintings can vary by size and shipping location. I purchased a print. How do I care for it?

Please be sure to handle your artwork carefully and avoid touching the surface. We recommend that you inspect the work thoroughly upon arrival. Every artwork we release goes through a very rigorous process of quality control, however, on the rare occasion that you should notice a flaw or a mishap we will look into it right away. If you notice something out of the ordinary, please take a snapshot of the affected area and send it to us along with your concerns within 24 hours upon receipt of package. Please note that once the artwork is in your possession, any damage to any artwork is not liable to EYE BUY ART.

I purchased a painting. How do I care for it?

Please be sure to handle your artwork very carefully and avoid touching the surface. With one-of-a-kind artworks like paintings, the surface may vary from smooth to rough depending on the thickness of the paint used by the artist. This paint, however long since dried, can be easily scratched, dinged, or damaged when out of its protective packaging, therefore we recommend keeping the packaging on until it is about to be installed/hung.  If you have a concern about an area of your purchased artwork, please take a snapshot of the affected area and send it to us along with your concerns. Please note that once in your possession, any damage to any artwork is not liable to EYE BUY ART. If you’re not sure where or how to hang your artwork, let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

What makes artwork sold by EYE BUY ART authentic?

Every artwork we sell comes with an edition card that includes the artist’s signature and, if a photograph, the edition number you purchased i.e. 1/25, 2/25, 3/25, etc. This card is your Certificate of Authenticity. We strongly recommend that you adhere this card to the back of the artwork (after it has been framed, if framing) because this is what certifies your art, should you wish to have it evaluated down the road.

Can I see the artwork in person?

While we are an online gallery, we will be exhibiting many of the artwork you see for sale on EYE BUY ART in person through our popups and art fairs – so make sure to join our mailing list to find out about them. If you prefer a more personalized approach to buying art, we are happy to arrange a meeting with you using video conferencing, where we can look at your space and provide feedback!

Can I buy a size of a print I don't see listed on the site?

Maybe! Please send us a note with what you would like and we’ll do our best to help you out.

Will the artwork I receive look exactly like they do online?

The colour calibration of your monitor or screen, and the circumstances in which the images are viewed, will vary considerably from one device to the next. Therefore the artwork you receive may not be exactly as it appears on your device. Each photograph, however, goes through a meticulous process of colour balancing and profiling to ensure fidelity between the images you see online and what is delivered to you. 

How are payments handled?

All our financial transactions occur through Shopify Payments, Paypal or Klarna using state-of-the-art encryption technology. Therefore, your financial data is completely safe and your information is not accessible to anyone. Learn more by viewing our Privacy Policy page.

Where does EYE BUY ART ship?

EYE BUY ART online ships to the US & Canada. From another country? Email us and we’ll make sure the art finds its way to you.

All of our packages are prepared for fine art handling by our printing and framing partners. Shipping amounts are calculated at checkout. If you have any questions or concerns please send an email to and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How long does shipping take?

Photographs and Art Prints: Unframed prints arrive in approximately 2-3 weeks. Framed prints arrive in approximately 3-4 weeks. All prints are made-to-order and we do not stock inventory. Paintings and other Original Artwork: Due to the fluctuating sizes and weight of paintings, sculptures and other original work, we cannot pre-determine a guaranteed shipping window. However, we have a number of trusted, cost-efficient shippers that deliver to most destinations worldwide. Will I pay duties or taxes?

Most of our artworks ship from either Canada or the U.S. depending on where the order is placed. However, some original works and works with custom framing only ship out of Canada. These orders that are shipped to countries outside of Canada may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country (“Import Fees”). The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such Import Fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; EYE BUY ART has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

What is your return policy?

EYE BUY ART does not accept returns. If you made a mistake on your order, or if you need to adjust your shipping information, inquiries must be made within 24 hours of the initial purchase. Changes made after 24 hours may not be possible, or may be subject to a fee.

We want you to be very happy with your experience at EYE BUY ART and will handle every inquiry as a matter of priority. In the rare event that your artwork arrives damaged, we will do everything we can to assist you. Inquiries about damage to your package must be made within 14 days from the date your artwork was marked delivered, as this is the policy with our shipping providers. 

Notes regarding photographs and prints: please be aware that we are unable to produce additional prints after an edition has sold out and all gift certificate purchases are non-refundable. Please also note that we work hard to ensure that all images are displayed accurately, however screen resolutions and brightness may reflect subtle variations from the final printed edition.

What is an ”edition” of a photograph or print?

Photographs and digital art, particularly in the digital age, can be printed over and over again. However, when an image is being sold as a fine art edition, it means there is a fixed number of times it is allowed to be printed. The edition size is set and is strictly adhered to by the artist and their dealer and/or publisher (i.e. master printer). Once the final image in an edition is sold, the edition is closed forever.

Does the artist benefit from working with EYE BUY ART?

Most definitely–this is the most important aspect of what we do. As with traditional galleries, the artist makes a percentage from the sale of each artwork. Financial endorsement in an artist’s career can mean a great deal as it validates what they are doing and establishes or maintains a market value for their work. Our mission is to promote the future of their work and to support the careers of artists from across the globe.

How do you choose the artists?

We have forged relationships with artists in a multitude of ways. Some artists we have worked with since the beginning of EYE BUY ART in 2009, others we may have discovered this year. There is no singular way through which we find the artists we work with. In fact, one of our strengths in our consulting capacity for individuals and companies comes from us being able to reach out to new artists all the time, finding the perfect artwork that will suit each individual client. The sky’s the limit.

How can I submit my work?

Currently, we are not accepting applications and we work with artists through invitation only. However, a great way to make your work visible to us is to see what we’re up to – join our mailing list, follow us on social media and keep your website updated. You never know when your work might be the right fit for one of our clients or partners.

Who owns the copyright?

Copyright remains with the artist at all times. Buyers may not reproduce purchased artwork without express written permission from the original artist. Purchasing the artwork conveys ownership of the actual physical work only and does not transfer copyright in any way.

Is it okay to share the images I see on EYE BUY ART?

By all means, yes – we encourage it! You are permitted to post images hosted on for personal use on social media and outside websites. All we ask, out of respect to the artist, is that you provide a link from the related artwork back to its page on and be sure to credit the artist and EYE BUY ART. While posting is encouraged, creating any sort of print or commercial reproductions of any images of the artwork we carry is strictly forbidden by law. Thank you!

Why did you choose the name EYE BUY ART?

We think art is for everyone and we aim to make buying art easy, friendly, and accessible. Our name reflects our navigation – look, buy, and learn about art. We planned this site to be a tool for people to see art, to buy it, to experience and integrate it into their everyday lives. “I buy art” to us is a badge of honor, or a matter of pride. We hope it is to you, as well.
